One good thing about bath salts is that you can make them right in your own home. Many people do this and it saves them money because some stores that sell bath salts can be up there in price. Here is how to make it:
In a large glass or metal bowl, stir together:
- Take 2 cups of Epson Salt or Dead Sea Salt (With the Dead Sea Salt make sure to remove any dark pieces)
- 1-2 Teaspoons of Baking Soda to make the skin soft!
- 10-12 drops of essential oils. Lavender oil is the best for a relaxing bath.
- Now just stir it all together and the longer you stir the most your wonderful scent you added will come through.
- Now pour it into a jar (baby food jar, spaghetti Jar, or a mason jar works wonders)
Making homemade bath salts is easy to do. Now, if you decide to do these as a gift for someone then add some ribbon or bows to the jar and send it away!
